Library (LR) Orientation

In the first few weeks of school, from language arts class, we will head to the PTMS library to get acquainted with our librarian, Mrs. Stouden; the library secretary, Mrs. Pampena; and the library itself.

Library Orientation consists of several lessons to re-familiarize you with how to navigate the library, how to use the library, and how to access the library during the school day.  Although you already know some of this, there are unique procedures for the PTMS library that you will need to learn.

After the orientation lessons, Mrs. Stouden will assign a worksheet for you to complete to show that you know how to use the library and all its resources.  The worksheet will be assigned and corrected by Mrs. Stouden, but it will be entered into PowerSchool as a language arts grade.

Once the worksheet has been assigned, if you lose your copy, be sure to get another one.  Go to the library, introduce yourself to Mrs. Stouden or Mrs. Pampena, and politely ask for a new packet.

You can find more information about the library on the Handy Links page.
